Octopuses favour certain arms for special tasks

Octopuses aren't eight-handed, so to speak, and instead of using all of their arms equally they prefer certain ones for specific tasks, new research has found.

The research, led by marine biologist Chelsea Bennice from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, could have implications for robotics development.
