Bringing your bike along when you go on holidays requires extra logistical planning, even when travelling with your own car. That’s particularly true for e-bikes, which are significantly heavier than conventional bikes.

German industry magazine Auto Strassenverkehr has rated three bike carrier systems for cars, from conventional roof racks to hitch-mounted cargo carriers.
