The world’s largest pigeon race is no more, much to the regret of Charl Stander, the owner of the bird that won South Africa’s legendary Million Dollar Pigeon Race (SAMDPR) in 2018.
The pandemic has put an end to the world-famous competition, but there is already a race in the works that looks set to take its place: the Victoria Falls World Challenge Pigeon Race, held at the spectacular cascades on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
