Improving Homes Nationwide

Home improvement group MR. DIY, MR. TOY and MR. DOLLAR celebrates the grand opening event of 46 stores nationwide.

Most do it yourself projects give us a sense of accomplishment, especially ones we need to carry out around the house. All we need is the right tools and materials, and we are set to fix, build or clean our way to boost self-esteem and impress our loved ones to boot.

Starting operations in mid-2005 with its first stores in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, KL, it has now grown to become the largest home improvement retailer in the country together with its subsidiaries, MR. TOY and MR. DOLLAR.

The group will be celebrating the grand opening event of 46 new stores in 10 states for its upcoming three-day grand opening from Dec 18-20.

Offering more than 50,500 free gifts worth over RM1.5mil across three brands, this is the third time the company has thrown a bash for opening its stores nationwide.

“Despite the challenging situation we are fortunate as we are in a good position to celebrate the grand opening event of 46 simultaneously across the three brands; MR. DIY, MR. TOY and MR. DOLLAR nationwide” said MR. DIY vice president of marketing Andy Chin.

“Our previous nationwide stores grand opening event in July and September received positive feedback from the customers and we want to keep the same momentum for this third nationwide grand opening to support fellow Malaysians in the time of need.”

With its motto Always Low Prices, Chin shared that the group is committed to continuously bring more value and convenience to its customers providing great value-for-money products.

The group will be celebrating the grand opening event of 32 MR. DIY stores, seven MR. TOY and seven MR. DOLLAR stores.

There will be free gifts such as umbrellas and pillows at MR. DIY, plush toys and playsets at MR. TOY and, Milo and Koko Krunch cereals at MR. DOLLAR. All customers need to do is to just spend a minimum of RM30 in a single receipt to stand a chance at owning these free gifts, limited to 400 redemptions a day.

“I'm excited to welcome everyone to visit MR. DIY, MR. TOY and MR. DOLLAR new stores nearby to join the grand opening event as these rewards are for them, ” added Chin, assuring that the new stores are operating along the guidelines set by the Health Ministry and the National Security Council.

The group would be celebrating the grand opening event of the stores in Selangor, KL, Johor, Perak, Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang and Sarawak.
