Feng shui master Yap Boh Chu gives a zodiac-by-zodiac account of what's in store for Chinese horoscope believers in the Year Of The Pig.

This photo taken on Jan 16, 2019, shows a picture of a rat with an umbrella, sprayed on a door designed to prevent flooding during high tides, near Hinode station in Tokyo. The government has tried to verify if the drawing is the work of the mysterious street artist Banksy. The door was removed and placed in storage to prevent damage. Careerwise, you will have a very good year. The rat will have benefactors of the opposite sex as their Samaritans. However, you must try to lessen outdoor activities especially near water to prevent any untoward incidents. Wealth is good but the Rat tends to overspend. Be careful about relationships to prevent gossip and scandals that may arise.

General luck is good but not stable. Your mood and relationships will be affected. However, money luck is strong especially thanks to your networking skills. Save and invest more to buffer against bad times in 2020. Use your own discretion and do not depend on others when you want to invest.

This year is a good time to travel as dragons can gain wealth away from home. Many helpful people will assist you in overcoming obstacles. Avoid overspending. You have very good relationship luck. Singles will find partners, and couples can contemplate marriage.

Edward Monkton is a creation of British artist and poet Giles Andreae. Monkton's book Love Monkey is a lyrical and philosophical take on life, happiness and the pursuit of love, accompanied by his whimsical illustrations.

If you are considering furthering your studies, go for it. You will have many helpful people around to help you. Take up their offers if feasible, instead of declining them. Money luck is good but easy money may lead to overspending. Control your temper and your tongue. Overall, it is a good year.

This is not a great year for people born under this zodiac sign as they will face many obstacles. Some may also have ill health. Be careful when travelling on the road and abstain from dangerous activities. Relationships will be a challenge as well. Don’t let problems arising from relationships distract you from your priorities – whether it be work or studies. Try to mix with the right company as you will be easily swayed by your peers.

Watch what you say Ox, as you may inadvertently make enemies. Money luck is also down and you may end up spending more than you make. Be careful of law suits. Take care of your health, especially when it comes to stomach and the gastro system.

Usually, the person whose animal zodiac is the same as the reigning zodiac of the year will not have a good year, and this year is no exception. You will face much pressure from work and on the home front. Income is challenging as well. Taking short cuts (to get rich quick) will lead to losses, so be prudent with your expenses and investments. Don’t let emotions control you or lead you into making bad decisions. Be careful of the people around you as not all are your friends.

Be careful with your wealth. Be more conservative in investments and don’t take risks. Exercise control in spending. Make sure you stay on the right side of the law too. Control your temper as outbursts may affect your relationships.

Miyamoto Usagi is a fictional character from the American comic book Usagi Yojimbo created by Stan Sakai. Usagi is an anthropomorphic rabbit and ronin (a samurai without a master). Usagi has been on IGN's 'Top 100 Comic Book Heroes Of All Time' and Empire's 'The 50 Greatest Comic Book Characters'.

You have good money luck. But be careful of “get rich quick” schemes. Beware of legal matters and take precautions by perusing all documents and contracts before signing them. Do not neglect your relationships due to work. Be careful of false friends.

A good year for relationships but keep things under control. Now is a good time to consider proper investments as they will bear fruit in the future. Go for medical check ups and avoid sports that are too active, as you may be susceptible to injuries.

You have a tendency to overthink this year, especially when it comes to relationship issues. Focus on your work and studies and don’t let emotions dominate your thoughts. A good year for those who are still studying.

This year’s luck has improved but it is still not the best. Career, money and relationships have improved but you still incur high expenses. You have many opportunities for happy occasions and blessings this year.
