For many Malaysians, the humble swing has a pride of place in our childhood.

There are lots of things that have changed in my home over the years. The kitchen is bigger after my mum extended it about 10 years ago. The porch has been retiled. It costs us months of inconvenience and my parents a bomb. But I am grateful it was retiled because it’s such a breeze to clean, compared to the previous Japanese turf and cement driveway.
