This is why accidents happen

When you're behind the wheel, you should only be doing one thing: driving. Clearly this character in a Fast & Furious movie does not agree. Photo: AFP

Last year, an eighteen-year-old from Georgia, the US, got into her Mercedes and set off down the road with three of her colleagues. While driving in a 55 mph zone, she pressed her foot on the accelerator until she was doing more than 100 mph, and then attempted to take a photo with her phone.

Now, I don’t know about you, but the first thing that sprung to my mind after reading that was, “What in God’s name is a teenager doing with a Mercedes?”
