Phrases like “breaking karmic patterns” and “clearing up old issues” may sound like a whole lot of gobbledegook to some, but for a Tarot card reader, they have meaning and resonance.

Jessie Lee, 40, founder of Soleil Trinity Resources, a Kuala Lumpur-based Chinese metaphysics consultancy, has been reading Tarot cards for 15 years. She is adept at looking beyond the physical realms for answers and truths, and has studied feng shui, Bazi and face readings from masters in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia. Every new year, her services are sought after by those, like her, who pay heed to fortune-telling and Tarot card readings.
