Men, keep those knees together and get out of my space

I’ve just learnt a new word: manspreading. I stumbled across it in the following sentence: “Two men were recently arrested for ‘manspreading’ on the New York metro.”

At first, I thought it was something obscene that a man might do to a female passenger. I mean to say, it had to be a serious act for the men to get arrested.
