In Indonesia’s North Sumatra province, Mount Sinabung in the Karo Regency erupted on April 1 after also having grumbled and belched throughout March. According to the Jakarta Post, last Wednesday’s new eruptions moved Indonesia’s Mt Sinabung Observation Center to call for the immediate evacuation of residents living in villages on the volcano’s southern slope.
