Getting out of the pit of depression is like scaling a mountain. It’s a tough but not impossible task, as long as you keep your eyes on the goal.
I HAD the opportunity to work with a clinical psychologist while fighting a relapse some 18 months ago. The main focus of this self-help treatment was to enable me to employ an attitude of acceptance towards what is beyond my control, without allowing the pain to stop me from living life to the fullest. I learned to sit with negative emotions without judgment, and move on with what I value in life.
