Japan pays tribute to its superheroes.
MY eyes widened as I read the news on the Internet. It reported that last month, Takashimaya, a Japanese department store, was selling an 18cm gold model of Ultraman for ¥10.5mil (RM334,220), a 10cm model for ¥1.05mil (RM33,420), and a 5cm one for ¥315,000 (RM10,020) at its Shinjuku store in Tokyo. It also offered a 120cm statue of Kanegon (a monster that battled Ultraman in the TV show) costing ¥5.25mil (RM166,780). Wow!
