Take some time out to do good while also getting some exercise by supporting the SAMH Charity Run 2019, organised by SAMH, a centre for The Mentally Handicapped.

Since its establishment in 1964, SAMH (Selangor and Federal Territory Association for the Mentally Handicapped) has provided education, training, employment and care for children and young adults who are intellectually challenged so that they may realise their full potential.

The objective of this charity run aims at meeting the needs of the association as a non-profit service organisation – your support will go a long way to ensure the continuity of education and care for the 300 children and adults in their three schools and centres.

The run is happening on Dec 22,2019, at Bukit Jalil Recreational Park and it begins at 6.30am.

For more information or to register, go to the JomRun, Checkpoint or RaceXAsia portals.

It doesn’t cost much to participate and this last month of the year, why not do something kind? The T-shirts that you will receive when you sign up have wonderful inspiring messages too. Printed on the back is the quote by Robert M. Hensel, “When everyone else says you can’t, determination says, “Yes you can”.”

On top of that, the money paid for sign ups is tax exempted too.

Even if you are not that fit, you could walk or run for part of the way and just be there to support the cause.

End the year with blessings from these special children and young adults who have to face so many challenges to live a good and meaningful life.

Once you’ve registered, encourage all your Instagram and Facebook friends to join you too.

If you really can’t make it for the run, not to worry. If you still wish to donate or be a sponsor, please contact Wisma Harapan at 03-22741457 or 017-3198848.
