A low carbohydrate diet could help people maintain their weight loss by increasing the number of calories burned, finds a large US feeding trial published by The BMJ on Nov 14, 2018.
The researchers say this effect may improve the success of obesity treatment, especially among people with high insulin secretion (according to insulin level measured 30 minutes after consuming a standard amount of glucose).
