At the age of five, Dr Satish Kumar Gupta made a vow when his father – then in his 30s – had a heart attack. He was determined to be a heart specialist to eradicate heart disease which causes havoc in families.
“Our family was shattered when my father suffered chest pains some 50 years ago,” recalls the cardiologist, who was born in New Delhi, India.
