A new study has found that people who eat takeaway food had 40% higher levels of phthalates in the urine compared to other consumers.
Phthalates are chemicals that are used in the manufacture of food packaging materials, plastic films, plastic tubing used in the dairy industry, and other products likely to be used in the production of takeaway food items.
