Pistachios may reduce diabetes risk

Regular pistachios eating may help lower chances of type-2 diabetes for people at risk, according to a new trial.

People with so-called pre-diabetes have blood sugar levels higher than normal but not yet in the diabetes range. If they do nothing, 15% to 30% will develop diabetes within five years, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
