Once bitten, twice shy

Those who have been bitten by slithery creatures or nasty bugs can vividly remember those painful memories. For some, the bites prove fatal.

FORMER banker Wong Hong Meng, 65, of Damansara Jaya, Selangor, was bitten by a cobra while swimming 13 years ago. He was lucky to survive the incident. He reckons that he survived because the rushing waters could have washed away some of the snake’s poison.
