The debate on whether HIV-screening should be a pre-condition to marital bliss once again started when Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, who also chairs the Cabinet Committee on AIDS, announced the committee’s decision to make HIV-screening mandatory for all Muslim couples as part of their pre-marital course next year.
