PEPPERMINT has attractive green lance-shaped aromatic leaves supported by thin square stems. It is a popular herb used in many local dishes and is the signature garnish of Penang asam laksa. It enhances the spicy dish with a burst of cool flavour and blends well with the spicy-sour soup.
