CALCIUM and magnesium, like other minerals, are required for good health. Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body, and makes up about 1.5% to 2% of the body weight. About 99% of calcium exists in the bones and teeth. Approximately 60% of the magnesium in the body is found in the bone, 20% in the muscles and the remainder in soft tissues and body fluids.
