THE Framingham Point Score estimates the risk of developing coronary heart disease (CHD) within a 10-year time period. The presence of any risk factor requires appropriate attention because a single risk factor may confer a high risk for CHD in the long run, even if the 10-year risk does not appear to be high.
The scores are different for men and women. Last week, though we published the score charts, both charts were for women. We regret the omission of the men’s chart. This week, we include the chart for men.
