A PRIVATE medical centre in Singapore has launched a Weight Management Centre to combat the fastest growing medical condition – obesity. The Centre is spearheaded by a group of specialists who will provide one-stop treatment for weight problems and associated illnesses.  

According to the 1998 Singapore National Health Survey, 33.9% of men and 27% of women in Singapore are overweight. The condition is being recognised by the medical profession worldwide as the fastest growing medical problem affecting people globally.
