Choosing a complementary healthcare practitioner

HEALTH Minister Datuk Dr Chua Soi Lek recently announced that the Health Ministry has stopped recognising five traditional medicine groups as representatives of genuine practitioners.  

As one of those initially involved in establishing one of these groups, I feel a certain sadness. But over the last two years, having watched self interest take over protecting public interest in some of these groups, I know the Ministry had no choice but to act as they did.
