A prominent Malaysian neurologist has put forward the idea of Asian neurology as a discipline of study in Asian medical schools because of the differing clinical presentations of neurological disease between Asians and Caucasians.
ASIAN neurology should be viewed as a discipline of study. It should be strongly emphasised in research publications in Asian medical schools,” Prof Tan Chong Tin proposed during a lecture in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya recently.
