IT is said that infertility is a complex and often misunderstood condition. Often, women get blamed for being barren and men think that infertility is not their problem. But there is an equal chance that infertility can be a female or a male problem or a problem in both partners.

As is usual in any society, for every fact, there are 10 myths. One often hears the warning that women should refrain from taking contraceptive pills as they can lead to infertility. Another old wives’ tale is that a woman is barren because her womb is weak. It has also been said that frequent masturbation in men can make them infertile. All these myths are untrue but when they keep circulating, they can be confusing. Let’s take a look at some of the myths surrounding the issue of infertility.
