Build up 

If you’re new to exercise, increase your endurance with simple physical activity. Walk more, wash your car manually and do housework.  

Loosen up 

Start your session with five minutes of stretching and callisthenic exercises to warm up. 

Work it up 

Initially, you will feel your heart beat a little faster, your breathing is slightly deeper and more rapid, and your body feels warmer and slightly sweaty. Then begin your workout. At the end of the session, cool down with five minutes of stretching. 

Keep it up 

Exercise at least three to five times a week, for 20-30 minutes each session. Space the days out evenly. Keep it up; losing weight and maintaining it is an ongoing effort. 

Spice it up 

Once or twice a week, take time out for a fun activity – Latin or modern dance, yoga, a brisk walk, playing tennis or basketball. The point of it is to enjoy yourself.
