BLOOD and other tests can often be a terrifying experience, especially if you’re afraid of sharp objects in general. There have been instances of patients fainting at the mere sight of a needle. Strange, but true.  

There is nothing to be terrified about. It’s just a needle, and some have even likened the experience of having blood drawn from the body to an ant bite. To prepare for a blood test, you can have a snack or drink beforehand to avoid feeling faint. However, if you’ve been given instructions not to eat or drink, follow the instructions.
