Ozone in the body

Treating blood with ozone may seem a rather strange practice, but as PHILIP GOLINGAI finds out, there is a science behind this unique form of therapy.

AN intravenous cannula inserted into coronary heart disease patient Razali Abu’s right arm vein draws blood that is circulated through an EBOO (extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation) machine, which is similar to a haemodialysis machine. After the blood is ozonated and oxygenated, it is infused into Razali’s body through an intravenous cannula inserted into his left arm vein.
