Outside France, foodies are gorging themselves on foie gras


Once thought of as a distinctly French dish, foie gras is becoming increasingly popular abroad.

Health and animal welfare concerns notwithstanding, the French are still crazy about foie gras, and they aren't the only ones. France exported close to 2,270 tonnes of the prized product in 2014, according to the latest report from the French trade organization focusing on the product, Cifog (Comité interprofessionnel des palmipèdes à foie gras).
