THE tiffin-carrier or tiered bowls known as mangkuk sia was once very popular. These 'tiffins' also known as 'dabbas' (the Indian word for snack), was originally introduced in India using stainless steel containers to store lunches.
The style soon caught up with the Malay and Chinese community. The idea of having food from the tiffin must have spurred the team at the Yayasan Keusahawanan Sosial (YKS) to start off this concept, hence naming the food delivery service MangkukTingkat.com.
