Watsons expands its dining privileges to Johor Bahru and Penang. New lifestyle rewards and exciting plans ahead on LINE.
WATSONS VIP card members are in for more special rewards and treats! Since adding dining privileges to their reward programme in June, Watsons has partnered with more than 90 brands to offer their members more dining choices.
Now card members in Johor Bahru and Penang can save big with Watsons VIP Card, which is the leading loyalty card in Malaysia. Dining privileges include discounts of up to 20% off total bills, cash vouchers and complimentary signature food items with minimum spending at partner outlets.
“By using this card, you can save on average between RM40 and RM80 if you spend RM400 on dining monthly,” Watsons marketing and development director Jessica Ng said.
“Our brand promise is to reward members everywhere they go,” she added.
Card members can satiate their appetites by simply flashing their Watsons VIP Cards at more than 750 participating outlets nationwide. There is a wide selection of restaurants available, from fine dining to fast food, Asian to Western.
Since introducing their reward programme four years ago, more than three million loyal members have signed up.
Ng said that the response has been so overwhelming that they have decided to branch out into travel and lifestyle, as well as entertainment and leisure.
Activities include bowling at Ampang Superbowl, indoor archery at Star Archery, and ice skating at Sunway Pyramid.
An exciting addition is Watsons partnership with Jump Street Asia, Malaysia’s first trampoline park. Under the Move Your Body: JUMP programme, card members can get a pair of one-hour free Jump Street Asia tickets if they purchase RM50 and above of participating brands’ product in Watsons.
“As the leading health and beauty retailer in Asia, we want to get our members moving and leading active lifestyles,” Ng said.
Demonstrating their utmost commitment to their members, the lifestyle activities were chosen with the input of Watson VIP card members.
In a bid to reach out to younger members, Watsons is now on LINE, a popular instant messaging application with robust features and content downloads, as an exciting rewards platform for its members.
On Dec 1, Watsons will be launching the LINE Limited Edition Watsons VIP Card featuring favourite characters such as Mr Brown, Cony, and Sally, made available in key malls within Peninsular Malaysia. Watsons will be the first brand partner in Asia in the retail segment to have a co-brand card with LINE
