Lobster specials

Lobster prepared in various cooking styles are available every Friday and Saturday night throughout June at Cinnamon Coffee House, One World Hotel Petaling Jaya. Using only the freshest and most succulent lobster, whet your palate with a kaleidoscope of dishes whipped up a la minute by chefs in attendance. Some of the lobster dishes that will be served on a rotation basis at the salad bar are the Egg, Asparagus and Lobster Salad with Tarragon Mayonnaise, Potato Salad with Lobster and Watercress, and Prawn and Lobster Salad with Green Mango and Lime-Chilli Dressing. For soup, there is Slipper Lobster Bouillabaisse and for the main course, tuck into Slipper Lobster Pot Pie with Mushroom, Slipper Lobster Thermidor, Slipper Lobster Lasagne, Stir-Fried Slipper Lobster with Chilli Paste and Slipper Lobster Quiche. Tempting favourites from the four corners of the world are also served buffet style at different show kitchens. Oyster festival

Oysters are popularly served during festivals in various manifestations around the world. A day dedicated to celebrate and commemorate oysters is all the rage in European continents. Now it is Kuala Lumpur’s turn to enjoy a full-fledged oyster tribute — thanks to 7atenine! The restaurant’s first oyster gala christened ‘A Champagne & Oyster Soiree’ will be held on June 22 starting 7.30pm. It will be celebrated in conjunction with World Oyster Day. This marvellous mollusc gets a larger than life treatment with a two-hour free flow champagne and fresh oyster feast, a pearl fashion show, live jazz performance, celebrity appearances, facts and trivia challenge and educational nuggets. All guests will receive an exclusively-crafted mother of pearl door gift and will also stand a chance to win a RM6,000 pearl necklace in a lucky draw — compliments from Edward Kong South Sea Pearls. Poppy Seed Grapefruit

Berisi Lounge’s Cake of the Month for June is a light and delicious offering. Made from layers of lightly scented vanilla-grapefruit sponge sandwiched between layers of citrusy but refreshing grapefruit and poppy seed filling, it is then finished with a coating of fresh cream and garnished with sugar-coated creampuffs filled with mascarpone and white chocolate truffles for that magnificent effect. Available at Berisi Lounge throughout June, the Poppy Seed Grapefruit Truffle is priced at RM9++ per slice or RM70++ for the whole cake. Located at Level 9 of The Legend Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the restaurant commands an impressive view of the city as you indulge in a leisurely afternoon. ARABIAN TARBUSH RESTAURANT, LG16, Starhill Gallery, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. (Tel: 03-2144 6393). Business Hrs: 10am to 2am, daily. The restaurant serves recipes by managing director Mohyddin Al Halabi. A must try is the Grilled Arayes — minced lamb with vegetables, onions, Tarbush spice, tomatoes and spread on pita bread. There are also sweet delicacies like Mahalabia, Riz Bil Halil and Ma’Moul Bi Fustouq to name a few.

WESTERN

Here diners can relish in Baked Golden Coin Meat, Sauteed Slice Egg and Wok Baked Crab Claw with Butter, Deep Fried Sour Season Duck and many more tempting dishes.

INTERNATIONAL

EUROPEAN

Fine dining with a contemporary touch. Menu here changes every three months but classics like Warm Tea Smoked Salmon or Pan Roasted Duck Confit are retained.

MALAY

THAI

The restaurant strives to bring the vibrancy of beach parties of Haad Rin and Koh Phangan in its decor as well as its food. Delight in Fishcakes Wrapped in Boiled Egg (RM13), Thai Herb Minced Chicken (RM12), Thai Pomelo Salad (RM15), Tom Yam Gung (RM13), Stir-Fried Squid with Salted Egg Yolk (RM17) and Stir-Fried Beef Basil (RM23) are some popular dishes.

KOREAN
