Every day, billions of people begin their day over a hot cup of coffee. While this used to be served in chipped old mugs at home, the proliferation of cafes and the widening reach of coffee culture has resulted in the spread of disposable paper cups.
While you might think these paper cups are eco-friendly and will end up in recycling centres, according to an article on the BBC website, these takeaway paper cups aren’t really recyclable at all.
