Carlsberg philosophy is to play a bigger role in society
The Carlsberg Foundation, one of the world’s oldest commercial foundations, was established in 1876 in Copenhagen, Denmark, by Carlsberg founder J.C. Jacobsen with two main obligations — to take care of the Carlsberg brewery and to oversee the Carlsberg Research Laboratory, which was also set up at the same time.
