As the sun begins to sink behind the buildings in Bukit Jalil, Nicholas Gan cuts into a piece of pan-seared pork that’s garnished with petals and honey-glazed carrots.
“Mmm, this is good,” he says, taking a sip of Chardonnay. He smiles at his wife Stephanne Foong in the glow of the candlelight and she grins back, pleasure written all over her expression.
