Dom Pérignon P2-1998 was launched at an exlusive media event at Jeff's Cellar at The Banjaran Hot Springs in Ipoh.
Sixteen years is a long time to wait for a Champagne to mature, but the Dom Pérignon P2-1998 was certainly worth the wait.
According to Dom Pérignon’s brand ambassador, Charles Antoine-Picart, P2-1998 is a very different expression of Dom Pérignon Vintage 1998. “It’s the result of longer aging, which gives it something that is more energetic and intense, and still very much in the spirit of Dom Pérignon,” he said. “Every vintage of Dom Pérignon is made to age, and we only release the first expression of every vintage after eight years on average. We keep a few bottles, and P2-1998 is what happens after a further eight years of ageing.”
