There is also the dragon fruit and coconut single yolk, another flavour that caught guests by surprise. Hugely popular in Malaysia, the dragon fruit paired really well with the pandan coconut flavour and the yolk.
One of the flavours is the Honey Grapefruit with a layer of mixed nuts. The usually bitter grapefruit toned down the sweetness of the mooncake creating a mildly sweet version with a crunchy bite.
Snow skin Lotus
In Tai Thong, their unique Poon Choy has Tian Jian cabbage, lotus root, beancurd stick, wheat gluten, white radish, celery, poached chicken, roast duck, broccoli, pig trotters, mushroom, fish maw, dried oysters, prawns and golden fish balls.
There is also the snow skin honey lemon grapefruit, a zesty flavoured mooncake that was uniquely set off by the osmanthus based snow skin.
