ThaiExpress takes on a new look with more choices.
ThaiExpress, located on the ground floor of The Curve, has revamped its menu and added some new dishes to please its customers' palate.
This outlet is the only one in Malaysia, but it has 25 eateries in Singapore.
ThaiExpress media relations executive Chantel Khor said: “We change our menu every few years and this time we added more dishes to give our customers variety.”
The new dishes include Tom Yum Talay (Tom Yum Seafood), Gai Op Pattaya (Thai-style Roasted Chicken Thigh),
Yum Mamuang (Thai Mango Salad) and Massaman Chicken Curry with Thai-Style Pancake.
Khor said the Massaman curry was voted the No.1 dish in CNNGo.com’s World’s Most Delicious Food list in 2011. It was included on the menu so diners could enjoy the rich flavours of the Thai favourite.
The Gai Op Pattaya, voted Pattaya’s Best Roasted Chicken, is the restaurant’s version of this popular dish.
The herbal flavours of galangal, lemongrass and chilli awakened the taste buds in the clear tom yam cooked with fish and prawns, which is a simple treat with white rice.
“We are confident the dishes will please the locals palate,” said Khor.
For those who enjoy spicy fare, try the Yellow Ginger Chicken that is served with rice.
The serving of minced chicken was truly enjoyable because the combination of Thai chilli and coriander leaves gave the dish a delightful fiery effect.
Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy Khao Niao Mamuang (Sweet Glutinous Rice with Fresh Mango and Coconut Milk).
This traditional Thai dessert, with its mix of sticky rice, tangy and sweet mango and creamy coconut milk, was the perfect ending to my ThaiExpress lunch experience.
