Sheraton Imperial and Swiss Watch Gallery make a great pair when it comes to food and watches.
The fourth installation of Swiss Watch Gallery’s annual luxury watch exhibition which is currently running till Oct 13 at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is said to illustrate the true meaning of timepiece mastery. Named The Art of Time, it brings together some of the world’s most iconic watch brands.
These include Cartier, Graham, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget, Tag Heuer, Tudor, Ulysse Nardin, Zenith and Vertu, the ultimate in luxury mobile phones.
The Art of Time also affords a glimpse into the art, technology and heritage of truly ingenious watchmaking.
Offering a different facet of time appreciation, Swiss Watch Gallery of The Valiram Group have partnered with Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur to provide a watch and food pairing.
Chef Kamaruddin Adnin drew inspiration from the key timepieces of the participating brands and whipped up a special dish for each one.
“We looked beyond the watch itself and we focused on the person who would wear these timepieces. An example would be the Piaget Limelight Blooming White Dial White Satin Strap Ladies Watch. As it is a ladies timepiece, we decided on smoked salmon which is a popular choice among the fairer sex. We then enhanced the dish with droplets of oil to mimic the diamonds on the case,” shared Chef Adnin.
Stephan Sieber, general manager at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, who was also present at the food and watch pairing said, “Passion is the word to remember here. Sheraton Imperial and The Valiram Group have long shared a similar passion to be different and to always offer our clientele the best quality possible.”
The Star is the official media partner for The Art Of Time.
