Separated but not disconnected

AFTER my story appeared in the newspaper last year (Cherishing Love and Life, May 27, 2012), I received an e-mail from a reader who was writing on behalf of his wife, requesting to get in contact with my mother.

I was so surprised. You see, the e-mail was from my mother’s schoolmate, Madam Chua, and they had not seen each other for more than 35 years after leaving school.
