Malaysia’s energy usage pattern is enough to make any environmentalist weep: A staggering 94% of our electricity is generated using fossil fuels, and this is not expected to change much over the next decade. This is not going to help the country fulfil its December 2009 pledge to reduce its carbon emissions by 40% by 2020 (based on 2005 levels).
