MAXWELL Hill in Taiping (now known as Bukit Larut) is the oldest hill resort in Malaysia. At 1,250m above sea-level, visitors can enjoy the refreshingly cool air, the breathtaking view of Taiping town with the coastline in the distance, and the beautiful sunsets.
The appeal of the resort lies in its untouched beauty, embellished with flowers, birds and tree ferns. The fauna here are bigger, too. I have seen rats the size of a cat and giant millipedes and centipedes.
