WHEN I first met Sabina Arokiam, I knew nothing about permaculture. After spending half a day with her at her garden home Embun Pagi in Batu Arang, Selangor, I was a convert. Permaculture seems an ideal and achievable solution to the world’s green issues. So contagious was Arokiama’s enthusiasm for permaculture, a subject she was introduced to just two years ago.
A fine arts graduate, Arokiam stumbled upon permaculture when she was researching ways to grow her own vegetables in the garden of her townhouse in Kuala Lumpur.
