Nursery rhymes like Humpty Dumpty is a fun way for children to learn new words and improve their English - File Pic.
I have three sons – my older boy is six and my younger twins are four. They all love to sing. On most car rides, they would request for nursery rhymes to be played instead of listening to my favourite radio station. It is fun to sing along with them, and it is my way of bonding with them, too.
Most of the easier songs, such as ABC and Row, Row, Row Your Boat, are just fun to sing along to. We would gradually learn “harder” but still fun songs like Rice Planting (they learn the process of planting rice and why it is no fun and why the farmers need to “bend from morn til set of sun” or Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary (they learn new words like cockle shells).
