It takes a family to teach logic

My brother is five years old. As we know, around the age of three and four, children start to learn things and develop their minds.

Therefore, this is the stage which is important to develop children's minds with beneficial things.

When I asked my mum about teaching logic, she said, “What would my son know about logic?”

She explained that she teaches my brother about logic by using flashcards and board games.

For example, we play Snakes and Ladders in order to teach him logic. We teach him to throw the dice and start counting how far he should go. Therefore, it will be easier for him to understand logic.

When then dice is thrown, I make sure to speak aloud what number is written on the dice. Next, he starts counting and pointing where he should go.

Secondly, we teach him using building blocks. We start together with one piece and add more in order to build what he wants.

If he wants to build a building, we will help him and teach him how to build it block by block.

At the same time, we teach him the colour of each block. Then, we will ask him to pick out blocks of that particular colour.

This way, he can learn to understand colours and follow instructions. We teach him logic by explaining that the base must be built first and it should be wider and stronger, and from there we construct the rest of the building.
