A heart for the aged

There's a bungalow on a quiet street in Section 12, Petaling Jaya, where Phyllis Nathan, 75, runs Phyllis Caring Home, a home for the aged and elderly who have no kin to care for them.

The home houses 13 residents, aged between 61 and 89, including two who are visually impaired. During an afternoon visit recently, some residents were asleep, a few were chatting happily at the front porch while others were watching a drama serial on TV.
