Dettol has presented non-profit organisation MyKasih with RM25,000, raised through its Ramadan Charity Drive.

The money raised will go towards supporting the MyKasih “Love My Neighbourhood” programme and the MyKasih “Love My School” programme.

MyKasih provides aid, health awareness and financial literacy programmes, children’s education and skills training programmes to the less fortunate.

The RM25,000 was raised with the help of the public. For every RM20 worth of Dettol products purchased at any Giant store, Dettol donated 50sen to charity.

According to Dettol, one of its key drivers is educating children and households on the importance of upholding good hygiene practices.

Present during the mock cheque presentation ceremony were MyKasih Foundation managing director Jeffrey Perera, TV presenter Azura Zainal, actress Siti Saleha, Miss Tourism International 2011 Gabriella Robinson and Miss World Malaysia 2011 Chloe Chen.
