Pia is a popular putu piring seller at a night market while her husband, Hadi, is a factory supervisor that helps her out after getting off work and during off days. Pia is a bossy and jealous wife. She finds out that Hadi is having an affair with Anjali, who makes putu mayam. To win back her husband, Pia learns how to make putu mayam and changes her appearance. Machli Tiger Queen (TV1, 10am)
This documentary captures the life of the world’s most famous tigress, Machli, who resides in India’s Ranthambhore National Park.
Ithu Kathirvelan Kadhal (Astro Vellithirai/Ch 202, 10.30am)
Kathirvel, who is a Hanuman devotee, is against marriage, but when he meets Pavithra, he begins to fall for her. Starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Nayanthara and Chaya Singh.
Bella Deepavali Special (Ntv7, 11am)
This special edition of Bella will see host Belinda Chee learning about Deepavali desserts from around the world, and the preparation involved in making these colourful delicacies. There will also be dance and music performances by local celebrities.

Vaanakam Cikgu (TV3, 2pm)
Air force pilot Major Murthy can never forget moments during his childhood years when he was abused by his drunkard father. But by attending Cikgu Kamal Hassan’s extra classes, Murthy has found success in life. But still angry at his father, Murthy has not gone home for 19 years. Whenever he spots his father, he manages to escape.
But his elder sister, Kamala, convinces him that his father has turned over a new leaf after being advised by Cikgu Kamal. Will father and son patch things up? Starring Fezrul Khan, Joseph Abraham and Shashi Taran.

Akhiyon Se Goli Maare (UTV Movies Intervational/HyppTV Ch 307, 8pm)
Akendra is an illegal shop owner who wants his daughter Kiran to marry a gangster, and picks gangster Shakti, who is currently undergoing a prison sentence. But Kiran is already in love with Raj, who belongs to a wealthy family, and has no ties to the criminal world.
Kiran convinces Raj to pretend to be a gangster to meet her father’s requirements. He reluctantly agrees and is introduced to a gangster-trainer. After a series of misadventures, Raj finally becomes a convincing gangster.
However, Akendra suddenly changes his mind and doesn’t want his daughter to marry a gangster anymore. Starring Govinda, Raveena Tandon and Kader Khan.
Amar Akbar Anthony (Sony Max/ HyppTV Ch 308, 9pm)
Three brothers are separated during childhood and one is adopted by a Hindu policeman, another by a Muslim tailor and the last one by a Catholic priest. Years later, the brothers are reunited and a series of strange and hilarious events follow. Starring Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
Irukku Aanal Illai (Astro Vellithirai/Ch 202, 9pm)
After a bad day at work, Venkat decides to get drunk but on his way home, he meets with an accident, where a girl, Divya, is killed. Not long after, Divya’s spirit begins to haunt him. Starring Vivanth, Eden and Manisha Shree.
In the second instalment of the Dhoom series, buddy cops Jai and Ali are trying to capture Mr A, an international criminal who has stolen a priceless artifact in Mumbai. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.
An Evening In Paris (TV2, 10pm)
Parisian couple of Indian descent Sam and Roopa are madly in love. But tragedy strikes when Roopa is kidnapped for ransom by a criminal mastermind. Starring Shammi Kapoor and Sharmila Tagore.
Maatran (TV3, 10pm)
A scientist tries to create a baby with multiple talents which leads to the birth of his sons, conjoined twins Vimalan and Akhilan. The twins cannot be separated as they share a heart. They possess different personalities – Vimalan is good in his studies while Akhilan is a poor student.
One day, the boys are attacked by goons while trying to protect their father’s company information. During the scuffle, Vimalan suffers a huge blow to his head and is declared brain dead. His share of the heart is transplanted to Akhilan who later finds out that his father has something to do with his brother’s death. Starring Suriya, Kajal Aggarwal, Sachin Khedekar and Tara.
8TV Quickie Deepavali Special (8TV, midnight)
Megan Tan, Nadia Nash, Mark O’Dea and Brandon Ho brings 8TV Quickie to Batu Caves on this festive episode where the hosts, along with former Miss Universe Malaysia 2014 contestant, Shangkharee Nadarajan, compete with each other in a series of challenges.
They must race to the top of the iconic stairs, fill a jug with coconut juice, make flower garlands as well as a kolam all while dressed in sari and dhoti.
