Helmed by JJ on the Red Breakfast WTF show every Tuesday at 9am, the "REDefiners" include the co-founders of Biji Biji Initiative as well as Leona Chin, Timothy Tiah and Jonathan Yabut.
Founded in 2012, The Biji Biji Initiative is a social enterprise that champions sustainable living, minimising carbon footprint and leaving a positive social and environmental impact. Its four co-founders – Rashvin Pal Singh, Zoe Victoria, Azam Hisham and Gurpreet Singh Dhillon – come from various backgrounds but share the passion to cultivate a greener Malaysia.
Chin was a Finance major graduate who took an interest in car drifting about nine years ago. Today, she’s a professional motorsports athlete who does circuit racing, autocross, gymkhana and rally racing. She also keeps busy as an advanced driving instructor and entrepreneur.
Nuffnang co-founder Tiah ditched his plan to become an investment banker and started the blog-advertising community instead.
Along with co-founder Cheo Ming Shen, the duo has started Churpchurp, Jipaban, Ripplewerkz and NuffnangX under the fast-growing Netccentric umbrella, which is worth RM100mil today.
Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Yabut won The Apprentice Asia last year and has since relocated to Kuala Lumpur to work as the chief of staff for AirAsia. Yabut, 29, recently published his first book, From Grit To Great, and is also a motivational and marketing speaker.
